Progression of Osteoarthritis at Long-term Follow-up in Patients Treated for Symptomatic Femoroacetabular Impingement With Hip Arthroscopy Compared With Nonsurgically Treated Patients

CONCLUSION: At a mean follow-up of nearly 13 years, 7% of patients of the surgical group experienced progression to THA, compared with 11% of the nonoperative control group. While most of the operative group showed little to no OA at final follow-up, moderate OA (Tönnis grade 2) was present in 12% of the cohort compared with 22% of nonsurgical patients.
